Personalized Primary care in Denver

Jennifer Mooney

ARNP-C

Offering a grounded approach to both conventional and integrative or functional medical care.

Each individual has the capacity to participate in and improve their overall health and well-being. It is each person’s willingness to look deeply at their symptoms and circumstance that creates the opportunities for change. Guidance from a like-minded health practitioner can be a tremendous partnership on that transformative journey. This is an evolving process that has tremendous moments of challenge and resistance, but also remarkable breakthroughs toward healing. Learning to integrate conscious lifestyle choices consistently provides the foundation for more empowered and renewed life purpose and meaning. I am honored to be a participant in this journey with my patients.

Hormone balance

Endocrine hormones, including thyroid and sex hormones, are messengers in our bodies. These hormones have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, but often wreak havoc due to external and internal stressors and metabolic challenges. When in proper balance these hormones can support metabolic health and wellbeing.

N

Digestive health

Our digestive tract is our internal skin and the means by which we absorb and eliminate nutrients and toxins. Addressing our GI health through optimizing the balance and diversity of our microbiome improves our digestive symptoms, as well as our neurologic health and immune status.
N

Neurological health

Brain health is integral to our digestive and immune systems. There is much “cross-talk” between these systems. Assessing and Addressing the causes and amount of inflammation in our bodies through nutrition, lifestyle measures, detoxification, hormonal support, and appropriate use of supplements is the key to a healthy brain and longevity.
N

metabolic health

Our life situations-stressors, nutritional choices, exercise, infections, combined with our unique genome-inform metabolic health. As we learn to implement conscious healthy lifestyle choices, unhealthy trends in weight, lipid, glucose, blood pressure measurements are more easily reversible and we begin to take control of our well-being in a positive way.

N

immune resilience

The capacity to resist or recover from illness when exposed to the variety of pathogenic viruses, bacteria, parasites, and/or environmental toxins improves through understanding an individual’s physical and emotional vulnerabilities and then identifying actions to support immune resilience.
N

cardiovascular health

Cardiovascular fitness is modulated by numerous mechanisms directed by nutrition, exercise, stressors, genetics. Looking deeply at these factors and adapting our choices impacts the heart and vascular health–function and structure.

Our Services

In order to help you live your best life, I focus on three types of health care. We work together to ensure you get the day-to-day care you need, manage chronic and acute illness, and prepare for the future with preventive care.

Personalized Primary Care

Personalized primary care focuses on your unique basic health care needs through an understanding of your health goals and medical conditions. I act as the first contact and principal point of continuing care within the healthcare system, coordinating with ancillary services and specialists when necessary.

health management

Together we create an evolving plan for the management of acute and chronic medical conditions. By taking a comprehensive approach, we are able to tackle the challenges these conditions present for an individual and their family.

Preventive care

Preventive care consists of employing a variety of measures to assess identifiable potential health risks. The goal is to use this information to intervene early with strategies to prevent illness and promote peak emotional and physical health well into the future.
